Middlesex Filter bed experimental Arboretum

This project aims to rejuvenate a former industrial site, renowned for its 19th-century pumping station, by transforming it into a nature reserve. The intervention seeks to establish protection zones for endangered species while also serving an educational purpose, allowing visitors to experience and understand natural processes. Inspired by the design of a Petri dish, the site is divided into circular experimental zones of varying sizes. Within these zones, targeted plantings are implemented using different strategies to create protected habitats
