This project is located in Xin’anjiang Forest Park. The base covers Wudi and Zhujiabu to the north, Qiwukou to the south, Sangshuwan to the west, Huaping and Guanyinjian to the east. The base is closely adjacent to the Baixiao Line and Jinqian Line, and there are also Longli Expressway, Jinjin Expressway, Wenshou Line, Jianchun Line, and Fuqu Line in the surrounding area, making transportation very convenient. The planned construction land is approximately 3349 square meters, with a building area of approximately 1444 square meters and a building area of approximately 1979 square meters.

The land area of the project is relatively limited, and for forest architecture, having a pleasant space is necessary. How to create a safe, healthy, caring, and diverse space under limited land conditions is a fundamental issue that architects need to face.

In the 20th century, architecture existed as an independent functional entity, just like a machine, almost detached from nature and performing its functions independently, without considering coordination with the surrounding environment. However, in the 21st century, both humans and buildings needed to establish a continuity with the natural environment, not only energy-saving, but also ecological and social.

The building continues the semi enclosed architectural layout of the original site, ensuring a sense of privacy while making it easier to create a sense of atmosphere and travel routes. On the basis of the existing architectural layout, elevated floors, terraces, corridors, and other gray spaces are added to strengthen the connection between buildings, while also enriching more possibilities for pedestrian flow lines within the building.

The “sloping roof” is a typical characteristic shape of Hangzhou architecture in Jiangnan. The design of this case fully considers the inheritance of cultural context, extracts and redesigns the “sloping roof” elements, and presents them in a modern way. The individual buildings on the site are observed as a whole, and the roofs of the individual buildings are “cut on the same side”, so that the roofs of each individual building have associated ridge lines and roofs, reflecting regional culture and enriching the architectural style. At the same time, traditional door and window patterns are broken, and irregular doors and windows are coordinated in proportion The arrangement of observation platforms and courtyards brings interesting embellishments to the exterior of the building, creating a continuous landscape gray space along the periphery of the building, enriching the overall landscape space atmosphere.

Out of nature, finally nature. In terms of building materials, the principle of building new buildings is to adapt to local conditions and use local materials with the most distinctive local characteristics: natural materials such as green tiles, rough stones, and logs are used in the building to integrate the building with nature and create a pleasant contrast.
