Astrology is an ancient science, a study of using the laws of motion and relative positions of celestial bodies to divine the future or explore affairs. Every civilization on earth has unique or interrelated astrology without exception. The history of Chinese astrology can be speculated to at least 2000 BC, flourished in the Han and Tang Dynasties, and merged with Indian and Western astrology at different times.
The lamp in the world is just like the star in the sky. It should not only have the function of lighting, but an object that connects the souls of different ethnic groups, different beliefs, and different cultures.
Taoism characters are a unique Taoist culture in China and have a close relationship with Chinese characters. Chinese characters are drawn from the universe and depict the universe, while Taoism characters are the core of the original Chinese characters and can communicate with the creator. Once Taoism characters were widely used in prayer, warding off evil spirits, curing diseases, and other fields.
Chinese ancient astrology and Taoism characters lamps include Beidou wall lamp, Wenchang table lamp, husband and wife bedroom lamps, Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches chandeliers, etc. The design method is not only copying tradition but to endow lamps with astrology and Taoism characters. Imagine that you can feel the charm of ancient Chinese culture and Taoism by those lamps. Astrology and Taoism characters are not only the precious cultural wealth of China but also the cultural heritage of the world. The original premise of the series of lamps is that people from all over the world may like them. By the unique light design, people can exchange their thoughts on the relationships of the Chinese and Western astrology, Taoism characters, and western zodiacs from all over the world.
About Ray Wong
Ray Wong (Wang Rui, formerly known as Gong Rui) was born in a family of calligraphy and painting, the sixth grandson of Gong Qinggao, who was a famous calligrapher and painter in Sichuan in the Qing Dynasty. Ray graduated from the Department of Environmental Art of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University in 1999. During the period of school, he edited the Chinese Classical Garden Art Series, which won the Gold Award of China International Software Expo and Technology Seminar in 1998.
After graduation, he engaged in interior and architectural planning and design for many years. His representative designs are Nokia China Center, Beijing Friendship Hotel, Beijing Yuanda Center Headquarters, Beijing Dayuan Hotel, Beijing Palace International Hotel, BMW Brilliance Shenyang Headquarters, Yunnan Customs Complex Building, and many other large-scale architectural projects, as well as landscape projects such as the Alxa League Stone Theme Cultural Park, the ancient city of Huizhou, and the Silk Road Style Street, Central Asia Gate in Yili, Xinjiang.
He has been interested in traditional Chinese metaphysics since he was a child. Over the years, he has been seeking the truth of life in the universe and systematically studying the feng shui of different schools. He confirmed the theory of Ying-yang and Feng Shui with modern science and astronomy, so he dedicated himself to creating a harmonious living space with the knowledge of Chinese Feng Shui in architecture and interior design.
In recent years, he began to delve more deeply into research on the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, a unique time and space symbol in China. He takes ancient Chinese characters (oracle bone inscriptions, golden inscriptions) as the key to unlocking the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches to deeply analyze the cosmic time-space code constructed by the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. Through the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, one can understand the cosmology and philosophy of ancient China in 4000 BC. Ying-yang theory, ancient Chinese astronomy, ancient Chinese Medicine, Feng Shui, and ancient Chinese prediction were all encoded by the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. The original meaning of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches is the result of original research after many years and is now in the process of finishing and publishing. He has still devoted himself to the metaphysical culture constructed by the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches and the creation of cultural and creative products such as lamps and accessories.
